Circus is Coming!
Once again we will be welcoming back the circus to the club mid April. They will be bringing with them lots of fun filled family entertainment so please monitor posters in the club and social media posts for more details including dates, timings, and ticket details.

Race for life
Lots of members and staff are representing Roko in the race for life which is a fantastic event and one which we are hoping to contribute a great deal to. Please contact Lynn the fitness supervisor if you would like to sponsor any of the team.

Apprentice Opportunities
We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly Fitness Coach’s to provide a welcoming and professional service to our members. Fitness Coaches actively provide instruction, guidance and encouragement on all matters relating to use of Club equipment and facilities; mainly in the Fitness Arena, but also recommending use of all available Club services and areas to help members meet their personal specific goals.The opportunity comes with training provided by an industry leading fitness company. Children's memberships are fully flexible (just one month's notice of cancellation is required) so you could add them to your membership for holiday periods or for the longer term.

You can add an unlimited number of children plus they need not reside at your address, so for example grandparents can add grandchildren or parents can add their child's friends.

Club News and Events 

New Food Menu Now supplied by the Sandwich King
We are pleased to announce that we have a new food supplier who provide a huge range of over 130 sandwiches, wraps, sub rolls, ciabattas and hospitality platters, your customers can choose their favourite bread including wholemeal, oatmeal, malted, soft grain, white and double malted farmer's. We have some delightful products now on the shelf including their healthy range with food under 300 calories as well as some indulgent treats!

Fitness News

We hope you and your family enjoyed the Easter weekend and continue to enjoy this lovely Spring weather!  The Spring/Summer adult Fitness timetable will run from week commencing Monday 11th April – Sunday 24th July with some small changes added over the May half term (Monday 30th May- Sunday 5th June).  You can pick up a copy now from the reception desk.

Les Mills Re-Launch Saturday 9th April
All new Les Mills Choreography will begin from Saturday 9th April 9am!!  We have a marathon of classes during the day and we challenge you to do them all!!  The schedule looks like this:

Body Combat 9am with Jo, Hannah & Christin
Body Pump 10am with Emma & Hannah
Body Balance 11am with Emma, Jo & Lou
Body attack 12pm with Thomas & Lou
RPM 1:15pm-2pm with Rach on the Gym Floor!

If you take part in every class you could burn up to 2,600 calories!! Are you up for the challenge??  Please note there are limited spaces in all the re-launch classes so we ask all members to book on to each class in advance to avoid disappointment.  If you have not booked and the class is full the instructors will kindly ask you to leave.  Bookings are open Saturday 2nd April from 8am.

Spin Bikes – Saturday 9th April 2016
Please note that on the 9th April the Spin Bikes will be in the Functional Training area from 10am, this is due to the Les Mills Re-Launch, we apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you and thank you for your understanding.

Swimming Lessons Adult Improver
We have 2 spaces remaining on our ‘Adult Improver’ swim course this term.  The swim lesson takes place on a Wednesday evening 7:30-8pm with Tracy.  This class is for adults who are confident in the water and can swim at least a length on their back and on their front.  The class is designed to improve strokes and to tech technique on any new stroke.  The current term will run until Wednesday 18th May.  If you would like any more information please contact Jo Archer jarcher@york.roko.co.uk

Children’s News

Swimming Lessons - Easter Crash Course starts today!
The Easter crash course starts Monday 4th April and we still have places remaining!  To book on to the course please ask for more details from the reception team. 

Swim Coaching
We now have a new COACHING class for children who have completed all the swim stages here at Roko.  The class is held on a Wednesday evening 6:30-7pm with Tracy.  This class is purely to keep the children’s fitness up and to keep on top of their technique.  This class runs during the same 10 week blocks as the Roko Swim Terms and is the same price.  We have 2 places remaining on the course for this term so if you would like to book your child on or if you would like more information, please contact Jo Archer jarcher@york.roko.co.uk

Club Lounge

Private Function Hire
We have a number of free dates in the coming months where members can hire out ground floor of our club, for special up and coming events on a Saturday evening. We can cater for 18th, 21st, 40th or any special occasion you might require a room for.
