Welcome to your member’s February newsletter!

We are pleased to show you all the images for the new spa works as they have commenced. The all-new spa will be downstairs in the pool area with various images to show the completed works in reception and by the bistro. Please take a moment to take a look, we are really hoping once complete to have the best spa in the area and something well worth the wait for everyone. The images also show the changes to the tiles and poolside itself as well, as it will dramatically change to be more relaxing one end with the new spa area yet still fully functional as a fitness pool with the same Aqua classes and swimming lessons taking place.

As you are probably aware, works for this have started poolside with a false wall covering all the windows that used to be viewable from reception and the bistro area. We want to remind all of our members; the pool is still fully operational with all classes and lessons taking place. The false wall is simply in place to keep the large panels of glass protected while the works are taking place.

Fitness News

Group Exercise
Our class studio timetable is all bookable through the app, at reception or by calling the club. Why not try something new this month that you haven’t before to see how you get on?

Gym Floor Challenges
There are gym floor challenges set by each member of the gym team as below. Leader boards are also up on the board by the gym desk to see how others are doing. Please feel free to take part and submit your details if you want to be included in the leader board and should you need any assistance, please ask a member of the gym team for guidance or the can even time you as well if needed.

Don’t forget to book a rokofit. session with one of the gym team if you need any support or guidance with the gym team for any suggestions on work out’s, programmes or help with food diaries. You can book an hour session with them through the app or at reception. These can be booked with Darin, Karl or Dan.

Bistro

The bistro is open each day from 0900 to 1300 for you to stop off and relax or catch up with friends and family serving Costa coffee and other hot drinks and snacks.

Club Works

There was an issue last year were hot water was dropping out in the shower areas, this meant replacing large parts of the boiler room and ended up with almost a whole new system being installed and replacing the old one. The works were all completed a few months ago, but we have kept an eye on this to ensure the issue was resolved which we are pleased to say has, and the new system will alert staff in advance should any issues at all arise in the future.

There have recently been works completed outside to expand the garden area that the creche has. This only lasted a few days and shouldn’t have had any disruption to our members, but this gives them more space to offer their service. Tops Day Nursery are a separate business to Roko and are available for members and non-members to use. For more information click the link below

Member Of The Month

David Goodwin has been nominated to be this month’s member of the month. David attends the club almost every week day to work out and always has a smile on his face around the club. Congratulations David and next month (March) is free.
