Since purchasing the Roko site back in June '21 and continuing to operate the health club, Portsmouth Football Club have discovered that the building is in need of major investment.

A full review has now been completed and a significant investment strategy has been prepared.

As part of our plans to reinvigorate the health club, we are working on a detailed scheme to create a new poolside spa area and two brand new studios, with work commencing early in the New Year and being completed in early May. 

This work includes installing a new sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, which relocates these facilities from the first floor to poolside and the retiling of the poolside area to create a modern pool and spa area for members to enjoy.

Behind the scenes, we have already completed some essential works to ensure the club can operate safely.  These works have included renewing the lighting throughout the club which has increased the brightness throughout, as well as upgrading the emergency lighting and various electrical works to comply with current health and safety standards.

In addition to this, we will be upgrading the plant room, lighting in the car park, fire alarm systems and work has already started to renew all the walls within the swimming pool which have corroded over the years. 

Portsmouth Football Club has exciting plans for the health club which will transform the facilities and provide members with a club we know they will enjoy using. We intend to announce our full programme of works with timelines and visuals in early 2022.
