Manager’s Welcome

Our first few months back and we continue to welcome more of you back through our doors.  We really do appreciate your custom and thank you for your continued support in following our covid procedures. Rest assured we are doing everything we can to ensure a great Roko experience and I’d like to thank everyone for adhering to the new changes.

I’d like to take this opportunity to remind all of our members that the fitness team are still able to offer rokofit. appointments, so if you are in need of a new fitness programme, or a review of your existing one, please speak to a member of the team who will book you in. 

If you need more regular assistance to achieve your goals then perhaps our team of Personal Trainers can help. We welcome to Charlie and Adam, two new Personal Trainers at the club; their details can be seen below.

I hope everyone is getting used to the “new normal” in the swimming lessons, it's great having them back and seeing all the familiar faces along with swimmers making fantastic progress!! Can I just remind swimmers where possible to come swim ready?

Our Children’s Swim Academy is back with smaller class sizes and safety measures in place. We still have a few spaces left on the programme and Jennie Keast our Swim Manager will be happy to help and advise on this and can be reached on jkeast@nottingham.roko.co.uk

We have listened to your requests, reviewed our timetable and are adding more classes for your fitness and enjoyment. You will find additions to our timetable from week commencing 5th October including high energy classes now being livestreamed in new high quality sound.

Don’t Stop-tober: Workout 20 times in October!
We’ve hit the ground running since gyms have opening and we don’t want to stop! It takes 28 days to form new habits. Hit the government recommendations for physical activity by completing 5 workouts a week in October and create new exercise habits!

Elite Challenge

Marathon Month: Complete a marathon a week in October!
October is London Marathon month and although the London marathon as we know it has been cancelled we can still take on the challenge! Walk, jog or run 26 miles per week in October to hit 104 miles in total!

  • Maintain social distancing at all times in club, and wear a face covering when not exercising

  • You can attend classes in person and livestream them from home; high energy classes are now being livestreamed along with holistic classes

Hot Pod Yoga

We can't wait to welcome you back to the pod and as you can imagine, things will look and feel a little different.  We have a number of different health and safety measures in place, designed to keep us all as safe as possible.  Here's a top line summary but if you want more info read here https://hotpodyoga.com/health/ 

• We’ll be limiting capacity in the pod to just 10 people per class
• Entry to the studio is through our back gate to minimise traffic through the main building and any waiting around at the main reception
• Showers are temporarily closed
• The pod and studio will be deep cleaned multiple times per day
• Our teachers are wearing masks while checking you in, your temperature will be taken upon entry and we ask that you wear a mask until you are on your mat
• We won’t be providing blocks or straps, but you’re welcome to bring your own
• Yoga towels are mandatory in all classes (bring your own or buy in the studio) if you are using our mats
• We won’t be doing any assists & adjustments or head massages just yet

For those enjoying your home practise with our online classes, you’ll be pleased to know that we’re going to keep these running alongside our in-studio timetable, they stream live from the West Bridgford studio.  You can continue to book via the website or app as usual.
