Manager’s Welcome

Firstly, a very warm welcome to our October newsletter which includes exciting news, get fit safely updates, and a little introduction!

I'd like to thank each and every one of you for supporting our get fit safely message which we know keeps being updated following government advice, but we really do appreciate your support in helping us maintain our COVID secure status. Please continue to follow our procedures including wearing your face covering (except when exercising) as well as maintaining social distancing and ensuring that you are wiping down the equipment after use.

The end of the summer has also marked the reopening of our Club Lounge and it is fantastic to see some of you enjoying a socially distanced coffee catching up with friends. Please remember we are now operating a table service only offering, but over the coming weeks will continue to add to the menu with old favourites returning and new fresh juices & smoothies to try after your workout.

The fitness team have been reviewing our group fitness timetable and we are delighted to announce that we are adding lots more livestreamed classes for you to have access to, so you can now participate in even more classes as well as the relaunch of our popular gym floor classes such as BodyX and Sprint8. We also have a new starter in the fitness department from October and we will introduce her to you all in the next newsletter.

As for the little introduction… some of you may be aware that Kieran, the General Manager, has left the business and I will be supporting this great team in the interim. My name is Gary Jepson and I am the Area Manager for the North. I am really pleased to be working with these guys so if you see me in the club please pop over and say hello!

Don’t Stop-tober: Workout 20 times in October!
We’ve hit the ground running since gyms have opening and we don’t want to stop! It takes 28 days to form new habits. Hit the government recommendations for physical activity by completing 5 workouts a week in October and create new exercise habits!

Elite Challenge

Marathon Month: Complete a marathon a week in October!
October is London Marathon month and although the London marathon as we know it has been cancelled we can still take on the challenge! Walk, jog or run 26 miles per week in October to hit 104 miles in total!

Remember:

  • You can get fit safely at Roko

  • Please always swipe your card upon entry 

  • Maintain social distancing at all times in club, and wear a face covering when not exercising

  • You can attend classes in person and livestream them from home; high energy classes are now being livestreamed along with holistic classes
