Chiswick Newsletter June 22

6th June 2022 | Chiswick

Welcome to June

Although the weather as I write would not confirm this, we are now well on the way to summer! Half term is now over, and I do hope that many of you were able to take advantage of the extra bank holiday this year and partake in some celebrations!

A few updates for you for what is happening in the club:

Lockers

As you will have seen, we have started to change the lockers over to padlocks as mentioned in my email. We will continue this process over the next few weeks, with the intention being that both locker rooms will be completely changed to padlocks by the end of the summer. We have padlocks to sell should you not have one – please ask at Reception for more information. Please note, we will also be removing any and all padlocks left on lockers overnight – please do not do this, as we do not have enough locker space for this.

Group Exercise

We have received some feedback regarding evening classes, and the need for another high energy class during these times. We are looking into this and will likely start this off in a couple of months’ time. As always, we will be reducing the timetable in July and August due to the lower occupancy expected in the club, so it makes good sense to add the new classes when we relaunch the timetable in September. Thank you for your suggestions – please do let us know if there is anything else like this you would like to see!

Suspensions over the summer

We have already started to receive a large number of requests to pause memberships over the summer period. Whilst we will always try and accommodate these, however, please note that in line with our membership terms and conditions, we will be requesting proof for these suspensions. If you are away, we will just be asking for documentation to back this up, in the form of flight tickets, or a travel itinerary. I do appreciate that some of you may not have been asked for this in the past, however we do need to ensure we are adhering to our own policies and keeping these requests under control.

Barrier Update

We have recently installed a brand new barrier, however unfortunately it looks like someone has driven into the side of the it, knocking the sensor clean off. This renders the barrier inoperable – it has been reported, and I do hope to have this fixed soon.

Sauna

Our Sauna is now fully up and running – thank you for your patience whilst we took care of this issue. We have ordered spare parts to keep on hand, meaning that if this does happen again, the wait to repair it will not be so long. I can only apologise for any inconvenience this caused.

As always, thank you once again for your loyalty to the club. I do welcome all feedback, so please do feel free to drop me a line should there be anything on your mind!

Kind regards,

Kati and your Roko Chiswick Team
