Manager's Message

Welcome to April’s newsletter – I hope this finds everybody well.

Welcome to April

As we see the start of the school holidays, and the upcoming break for Easter, the club will be quieter, and we will therefore be taking the opportunity to carry out some maintenance work – please see below. We will also, as always, make some changes to the timetable for the week immediately prior to and after the Easter weekend. The changes have all been updated online, and will be shown on the in-club screen.

Swimming Pool Closure

As per our email at the end of March, we will be closing the swimming pool to complete some maintenance work for two full days. We will also be closing the spa, sauna and steam room at the same time, to allow us time to complete some upgrade works to these areas. Please make a note that there will be no access to the wet areas on:

Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th April 2022

All areas will reopen at 06:30 on Wednesday 13th April.

Lockers

We have continued to empty lockers throughout the month when belongings have been left overnight. We are finding less and less of these, which should be easing the issue of many locked lockers, however we are aware that some keys are also missing completely. We have therefore taken the decision to start changing some lockers over to padlocks, as opposed to replacing the keys, which is not a sustainable option. More information on this will follow, so please keep an eye out for in club communication.

Barrier Update

The new barrier has been installed; however we are still awaiting one final safety feature to be completed until it can be put in to use. In the meantime, we have two Security officers on duty on both weekend days – when the site is at its busiest - to ensure only members have access to our part of the car park. We do hope to have the barrier back up and running within the week.

Sauna Update

We have received and approved the part for the suppression system we need and are awaiting a date for delivery. As with many electrical components, there is a long delay on this due to lack of availability of parts, however we are pushing every day with the company to ensure we are top of the list. Unfortunately, this is a relatively niche area, however we are working to get this reopened as soon as we possibly can.

Swimming Lessons

The last day for lessons will be Monday 4th April, and they will not resume until Tuesday 19th April.

In the meantime, our family swim hours will remain as:

Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 15:00-18:00, Saturday and Sunday 13:00-18:00

(please note the pool will be closed on Tuesday 12th April)
