Changing Room Refurbishment News

20th November 2017 | Nottingham

29th December 2017 Update no.3

The showers are now finished and are ready to be used!

Please be aware that there may be some snagging issues so if you notice anything that appears out of place please speak to the team.

Soap dispensers within the showers are one of these snags and they will be up and operational soon but we know that you will be keen to use the showers as soon as they are operational so please bear with us on this.

We are also waiting for a seat in the private changing cubicle.

The new showers are push button and will run for 1 minute 30 seconds with a temperature control.

The cubicles themselves are slightly different from the old ones, are self-closing on a spring and do not have locks on.

Please continue to remember a padlock for your locker. They are available for purchase at reception or you can of course bring your own.

More information regarding phase two of the changing room refurb will be available soon - the ladies changing area and family changing rooms will be receiving their make over.

We thank you again for your patience and cooperation while this work has been ongoing and hope you are pleased with the results.

15th December 2017 Update no.2

Thank-you for your patience during the Refurbishment works and we hope you are pleased with the upgraded changing rooms so far. The works are progressing well and on schedule for our aim to have completion by 31st December.

The 2 Family Changing Rooms will be designated as Male only and access to the Football Changing Rooms has been arranged where a further 6 showers will be available. These can be accessed to the right hand side of the building or via the Fire Exit in the Male Change. Please ask a member of the team if you need any guidance on this.

Our new lockers operate with a padlock .We now have stocks available for purchase at Reception or you can provide your own padlock.

Please do not use the locker as a permanent “home” for your belongings. Upon the closing of the club padlocks still in place will be noted, we will leave a polite notice on them to vacate the locker, if the locker continues to be permanently occupied the padlock and belongings will be removed and stored for collection. Please support us with this so all of our members can have access to a locker.

Phase 2 will take place in February 2018 when the Ladies Changing Rooms will receive the same treatment.

If you have any further questions then please do ask a member of the team or leave your enquiry with Reception.

20th November 2017:

Dear Members

We are beyond thrilled to share the news with you that our changing rooms and shower facilities will be receiving a well-deserved upgrade.

The duration of the works is expected to be 4 weeks with a start date of 8th December and completion of the first phase anticipated before the New Year. The work will see refurbishment of the showers, new lockers and cubicles and redecoration throughout. Phase one will include the male showers and lockers and also the female lockers. Work on the female showers will begin at a later date in February 2018. The work has been scheduled as such to complete everything to the required standards within the time that our preferred contractor has available.

We’re sure you understand that works of this kind do not come without disruption but we will do our upmost to ensure this is kept to a minimum.

In the next few weeks we will keep you up to date with the plans, start dates and advise of any likely impact on your visits to the club. We will of course keep you updated while the work is ongoing of any changes to the schedule;  to that end, we will be using Facebook for live updates and you can always ring the club to find out more while the work is progressing.

Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we bring you these exciting changes and improvements. If you have any specific questions please speak to a member of the team.

Healthy Regards,

Julie Bowley and your Roko Nottingham Team
